On the CCTV we have a Barn Owl sitting on 7 eggs. A Blue Tit has laid her first egg. A Greylag Goose family on the pond and Badgers out about around their sett .

We have lambs

My Zwartbles pet sheep have lambed.

Toga had triplets Matilda, Elvis and Dolly.

Eve had 2 boys, Sebastian and Pirate

Zebedee had 2 girls Zulu and Zara. We are still waiting on Annie to have her lambs.

The hen barn owl is now sitting on 5 eggs. Fantastic viewing on the CCTV especially when male bird returns with food.

Bothy which sleeps 2 is available form 15th April to 23rd April.

Spring is very much in the air. The birds are very busy looking out for nesting sites and singing for a mate. The Buzzards have already paired up and nest building is on their minds.

The badgers are being very romantic and are seen a lot on the CCTV.

Our snow drops are beautiful at the moment and can be seen along the river walk

September is my favourite time of year. The weather has improved for walking. There is nothing better then returning to the cottage to enjoy a roaring log fire.

The Scottish Borders becomes a quiet haven. The wildlife watching is great. The Roe Deer are in thier breeding colours of rustic brown, the buzzards are feeding their young with talon to talon feeding. The Swallows are all gathering for their migration south and winter bird migrants are arriving. Why not take a photographic work shop while you stay at Press Mains with Ron McCombe.

The Bothy is availalbe from Monday 19th until Saturday 24th. £75 per night or £302 for 5 nights.
